FIELD: motor fuel production. SUBSTANCE: in the first stage, synthesis gas is obtained via non-catalytic gas-phase oxidative conversion of natural gas with air oxygen at 800-1500 C and pressure 1 to 10 MPa. Then, catalytic conversion of synthesis gas is carried out in dimethyl ether synthesis converter followed by cooling gas mixture produced and separating it into liquid and gaseous phases. The former is treated to isolate dimethyl ether, which is routed to catalytic gasoline synthesis reactor, and the latter, containing non-converted synthesis gas components, is reused for catalytic conversion in additional dimethyl ether synthesis reactor without combining it with starting synthesis gas. EFFECT: increased yield of dimethyl ether and therefore gasoline fraction and reduced expenses due to utilizing air oxygen. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex
