FIELD: textile industry, may be used in flour-milling and food-processing industry, as well as in printing industry, in particular, for screen printing, and in electronics. SUBSTANCE: duck fabric comprises warp and weft synthetic single filaments having linear density of from 1.3 tex to 103 tex. Regular openings formed in fabric may be made in the form of squares and rectangles with sizes of from 26 microns to 1,180 microns and effective section coefficient of from 20% to 60%. Materials consumption of fabric is 30- 150 g/sq.m. Duck fabric is manufactured by calico, serge or semi-false openwork weaving method from polyester, polyamide and polypropylene filaments. Number of warp and weft filaments per 1 cm varies in the range of from 6.5 to 180. EFFECT: improved strength and corrosion resistance, increased resistance to microorganisms and wider range of usage. 4 cl, 1 tbl
