FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes mining of rock, transportation of rock, construction of timber and moving of screen to pit-face. For excavation extinction the screen is moved backwards to excavation mouth while supplying filler material. In said screen on its pit-face side a supporting member is mounted, a portion of timber is removed, and resulting space is filled with filler material. Then, simultaneously, force is applied to the screen to move it towards excavation mouth and to said supporting member to move it along excavation towards pit-face for prepressing filler material. Device is a cutting screen with a body consisting of three principal parts. Front part is a cutting case. Middle part contains hydraulic jacks for moving the screen. End part is a housing for timber construction. Screen has a supporting member mounted moveably along longitudinal axis of the body and capable of overlapping whole cross-section of the body cutting case. Hydraulic jacks for moving supporting member are mounted in middle portion of the body for synchronous repulsion of supporting member from the screen. Cutting case is made of inner conical cutting ring and outer cylindrical cutting ring. Hydraulic jacks for moving the screen are mounted capable of connecting to rods fixed in excavation mouth for pulling the screen towards the timber.
