FIELD: mining industry; applicable in support and maintenance of development mine workings, including those repeatedly used in pillarless mining of coal seams. SUBSTANCE: stability of mine working is increased by formation of damping layer over the contour of working roof directly at the face with the help of forms installed on upper part of roofing of face unit. Placed into trough formed on three sides of forms, except for the side facing element formed earlier, from external and internal plates, is sealing member whose flexible shells come in contact with roof after supply of working medium under pressure in them. After advancing of the working face and advance of forms with the help of hydraulic cylinder towards face to under exposed roof surface at distance determined by dimensions of formed member, forms overlap with its upper edge the mine working roof surface to form hollow into which composite fast-setting mix possessing compressibility and flexibility after its setting. After solidification of fast-setting mix, moved first by forms ram return motion is face unit without changing forms position, and then, successively, the other support units without removal of preliminary anchoring, after this, permanent support is erected to under damping layer. Upon expiration of time required for setting of fast-setting mix, forms are moved to side opposite to face at a distance sufficient for its separation from formed member, and after self-setting mix acquires the needed strength, forms are moved to initial position for fulfilling the next filling of space behind working support.
