FIELD: autonomous heaters working on principle of flameless catalytic oxidation of hydrocarbon fuels. SUBSTANCE: proposed heater is used in enclosed spaces and in the outside/ Heater has catalytic member, housing, fasteners and hydrocarbon fuel supply units; housing of heater is made in form of reservoir of profiled section; this reservoir is made from porous ceramics; pores of bottom and walls are sealed on the outside and are open on side of cavity; catalytic member is engageable with upper surface of intermediate member; its open area exceeds that in lower portion. Inner surface of housing is formed by curvilinear projections and recesses. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to avoidance of leakage of liquid (gaseous) fuel; enhanced fire safety in lighting-up. 2 cl, 11 dwg
