FIELD: lighters. SUBSTANCE: lighter designed to produce flame has lighter body accommodating fuel bowl with valve at bowl fuel outlet; valve actuator made for its moving down by user to actuate the valve and to let fuel out; spark-generating member meant for turning it by user to produce sparks directed toward escaping fuel, mentioned member being mounted on lighter body so that it is at least partially opened to enable user to handle and turn it; flint accommodated in lighter body and set in frictional contact with spark-generating member, turning the latter relative to flint causing sparking in direction of let out fuel; and means preventing flint turning about its central axis during handling and turning the spark-generating member. Organized in lighter is flint accommodating box; means preventing flint turning includes flint and its box whose shape and size are such that flint turning about is central axis is made impossible during spark-generating member handling and turning. Flint disposed inside lighter body and held in frictional contact with spark-generating member has other-than-round, that is square or hexahedral, cross-section. EFFECT: provision for smooth and uniform lighter actuating by its user; facilitated manufacture. 18 cl, 7 dwg
