Organized in lighter is flint accommodating box; means preventing flint turning includes flint and its box whose shape and size are such that flint turning about is central axis is made impossible during spark-generating member handling and turning. Flint disposed inside lighter body and held in frictional contact with spark-generating member has other-than-round, that is square or hexahedral, cross-section.
