SUBSTANCE: the lighter protected against undesirable users has an elongated body with a chamber for fuel, fuel nozzle communicating by the fluid medium with the chamber for fuel and made for selective discharge of fuel, lighting mechanism made for inflammation of the discharged fuel, starting member in the working position becoming engageable with the lighting mechanism, so that lowering of the starting member from the first position in height to the second position in height causes a start of the lighting mechanism, the starting member has a blocking lug that is made for prevention of the shift of the starting member from the first position in height to the second position in height, the blocking lug is connected to the starting member near the upper end and separated from the starting member by a gap far from the upper end, the blocking lug is usually positioned in the blocking position, in which the first blocking part on the blocking lug serves as an obstacle for the second blocking part on the mentioned body, a shift of the blocking lug in the direction across the mentioned gap to the unblocking position provides for lowering of the starting member from the first position in height to the second position in height.
