FIELD: heat engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for use in heat tubes with adjustable temperature of evaporation zone for ground and space application. Proposed method controlling temperature of heat tube includes evaporation of heat transfer agent in zone of evaporation by heat of heat source, installation of vessel with temperature control system at end of condensation zone and maintenance of constant excessive pressure in heat tube by metered supply and removal of heat to vessel. Thermal hydraulic accumulator which volume is computed by formula Vtha≥ 1,1 Vhta, is utilized in the capacity of vessel. It is installed outside of condensation zone of one or several heat tubes and is connected to ends of their condensation zones by means of pipe-line. Saturation pressure of heat transfer agent in thermal hydraulic accumulator is kept constant with the help of temperature control system with saturation pressure feedback. Heat transfer agent of heat tube is utilized in thermal hydraulic accumulator as working medium. Quantity of heat transfer agent required for filling of heat tube with thermal hydraulic accumulator is found with the aid of dependence relating volumes of heat transfer agent, heat tube, connecting pipe-line and thermal hydraulic accumulator which is presented as Vhta≥ Vht+Vc.p.l+0,1Vtha. Invention makes it feasible to strive for thermal stabilization of evaporation zone of one or several heat tubes connected to single thermal hydraulic accumulator in entire range of supplied thermal load from 0 to Q max independent of possible variations of conditions of heat removal.
