METHOD AND DEVICE FOR APPLYING CURATIVE AND PREVENTIVE TREATMENT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating hypothalamus with alternating magnetic field by using device, emitting field having frequency of 100 Hz and magnetic field intensity of 4-6 mTesla units. Then, pain points are treated with magnetic vibration field using device operating in step-wise changing frequencies of 30 Hz, 18 Hz, 10,8 Hz, 6,48 Hz, and 3,88 Hz with permissible error of 0.1-0.5 Hz on each frequency with magnetic field intensity of 4-6 mTesla units and treatment time equal to 10 min on each frequency beginning from the highest one. Treatment with low frequencies like 30 Hz and lower is applied to acupuncture points available on hand and feet with prophylactic purposes. The device has small-size body of 150x75x25 cm receiving power supply from internal accumulator giving voltage of +5 V or from external power supply source. Control units like power supply on/off button having photodiode indicating the events of critical accumulator voltage fall and frequency switch are arranged on frontal panel and laterally. Plug is available for making connection to inductors available in two versions magnetic one and vibromagnetic one being designed as solenoids enclosed in cylindrical housings of 40-50 mm large diameter and height of 20-30 mm connected to the plug via corresponding housing plug with 100 cm long electric power cord.
