FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the invention falls into non-ferrous metallurgy and may be used for refining aluminum and its alloy from calcium. The offered method of refining of a siliceous alloy of aluminum from calcium provides for smelting of an alloy, removal of a slag from its surface, application on a surface of the melt of a flux containing potassium chloride and aluminum fluoride, melting-down and mixing of the flux, removal of the slag and casting of the alloy. At that in the capacity of the flux they use a mixture of a coating-refining and modifying general purpose flux and aluminum fluoride at their following mass ratio 0.9 1.1. Realization of the offered method of refining will allow to decrease cost and temperature of the refining process.
