FIELD: power-plant engineering, mainly, heat engineering, applicable for production of infra-red radiation in the preset wave-length band. SUBSTANCE: the gas dynamic infra-red radiator has an acoustic resonator for generation of high-frequency shock waves and a gas generator, whose supersonic nozzle is installed strictly coaxially with the working chamber of the resonator. A space filled with low-melting-point high heat-conducting metal is made between the inner and outer surfaces of the resonator. The space between the inner and outer surfaces of the resonator is made with an increased volume on the side of the blind end in the direction to the inlet section of the resonator working chamber. A shaped acoustic reflector is installed at the mouth of the acoustic resonator, the inlet part of the working chamber is made line a contraction to a length at least 1/3 of the length of the entire working chamber, and the blind end is made concave. A coating of refractory metal is made on the outer surface of the resonator. EFFECT: obtained an even temperature of the radiating surface, enhanced efficiency, produced infra-red radiation in the preset wave-length band. 6 cl, 2 dwg
