FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: gas dynamic igniter comprises a hollow body, a rod gas jet radiator with a supersonic circular nozzle, a resonator with a cylindrical cavity, a connection chamber with an outlet hole and a system of fuel supply to the igniter. The radiator and the resonator are made in the form of tubular elements with dead bottoms at one end and open ones at the other end. The radiator is rigidly fixed in the body, and the resonator is mobile, and they are equipped with cavities with control gas supply collectors and control valves at the inlet into cavities. The system of fuel supply into the igniter comprises collectors of oxidant and fuel supply with control valves at the inlet to the radiator's cavity. The outlet hole of the connection chamber is located opposite to the transverse gap between the outlet of the radiator nozzle and the inlet of the resonator's cavity. Supply of control gas into appropriate cavities of the igniter results in change of its setting. This adjusts amplitude and frequency of gas pressure pulsation in the connection chamber of the igniter and gas heating.

EFFECT: expanded range of frequencies and amplitudes of gaseous fuel mixture column oscillations in a resonator cavity, reduced time for delay of fuel mixture ignition.
