FIELD: machine engineering, possibly manufacture of thin-wall cylindrical envelopes. SUBSTANCE: method for making cylindrical thin-wall envelopes with wall thickness less than 0.2 mm comprises steps of preliminary heat treatment of thick-wall tubular blank; further working by cutting inner and outer surfaces of blank for providing minimum thickness difference; performing spinning of envelope for several preliminary operations and one final operation. Spinning is realized for minimum number of operations at admissible deformation degree for used material. Thickness difference of blank and quantity of spinning operations are determined according to given relations. Heat treatment of envelopes for releasing stresses after preliminary spinning operations is realized in free state at further drifting of inner diameter. EFFECT: enhanced quality of articles, their minimum costs. 2 cl, 4 dwg, 1 ex
