FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to methods of rotary drawing on mandrels. Pipe blank is placed on mandrel with gap between pipe blank inner surface and mandrel outer surface and deformed by clamping elements revolving pipe blank mounted on mandrel. Deformation is terminated at distance from blank end of not less than its wall thickness and achieving rolled part length determined taking into account of optimal combination of geometric characteristics of pipe blank and finished product with torque value on mandrel and pipe blank material strain hardening.
EFFECT: improved quality of shells and increased stability of deformation process.
