FIELD: electrical and thermal engineering. SUBSTANCE: solar power plant has parabolic trough film concentrators with the Sun tracking system and photoelectric detectors residing in optically transparent enclosed location. Focal length of film concentrator is permanently optimized by introducing focus position sensor in pressure control circuit of concentrator enclosed film space. Semiconductor photoelectric converters are disposed in focal plane of concentrator and mounted on metal tubes of economizer, steam generator, and superheater incorporated in thermodynamic steam-power loop. Film counterreflectors afford additional local energy concentration. Surface of radiation emitters facing the Sun mounts pre- economizer incorporated in steam-power loop. Liquid working medium in steam generator tubes is maintained at desired level within specified limits by horizontal mounting of tubes and horizontal disposition of their axes of turn as well as by metered supply of condensate in response to signals of level gage inserted in control circuit.
