FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to noise-damping structures of exhaust pneumatic system s of different pneumatic devices, mainly, to exhaust systems of pneumatic clutches, pneumatic cylinders and other like devices. Proposed muffler consists of union, cover and porous noise- damping member made in form of coiled rolled aluminum rod cylinder one wide side of which is smooth and other wide side is provided with through cross riffling. Riffled side in contact with smooth side forms great number of through holes. Coiled cylinder is made by rolling aluminum rod blank between two conical rolls, driving and driven ones. Driving rolls has riffled contact surface, and driven roll is smooth. Using replaceable rolls of different type-sizes and different diameter rod, coiled cylinders with different diameters of spiral, channel cross section area, number of channels, thickness of cylinder wall and length of cylinder are formed.
