Abstract RU 2228793 C1

FIELD: production of sorbents used for cleaning solutions from admixtures of heavy metals. SUBSTANCE: peat is treated with solution of potassium hydroxide for separation of solid and liquid phases; liquid phase is treated with acid reagent for reduction of pH to 4-6; then gel-forming cycle is performed for obtaining gel-like sediment and supernatant liquid; sediment is treated with acid reagent for obtaining pH equal to 2.0-2.5, thus obtaining gel- like sediment and supernatant liquid of second stage of gel-forming cycle; separated supernatant liquid from each stage is subjected to heat treatment in flow of air at temperature of 110-120 C; then products of heat treatment are mixed together and with solid phase separated after treatment of peat with potassium hydroxide solution; mixture thus obtained is heated at temperature of 550-600 C, kept at final temperature, cooled, treated with water steam at temperature of 830-850 C and is granulated. Granules are mixed with gel-like sediment of second gel- forming stage for obtaining granules coated with film of gel which are subjected to aeration. EFFECT: enhanced mechanical strength of granules; enhanced ion- exchange and sorption capacity; enhanced stability in different solutions. 7 cl, 1 tbl
