FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: phosphoric acid in amount 0.2-0.25 vol % is added at stirring to exhausted cutting emulsion to pH 2-3. Resulting mixture is heated to 70-80 C and settled. Partially purified aqueous phase is subjected to electrocoagulation to isolate clarified aqueous phase, which is neutralized by adding 0.5-0.6% of sodium hydroxide to pH 8-10. Thus obtained product is stored for further use as detergent. Method can be utilized at metallurgical enterprises. EFFECT: simplified degradation, reduced expenses, and improved environmental condition. _
