FIELD: decomposition of waste cooling and lubricating emulsions; metalworking; metallurgy; treatment of waste water containing finely dispersed colloidal organic and mineral admixtures.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes introduction of phosphoric acid into waste lubricating and cooling emulsion in the amount of 0.2-0.25%-vol; solution is heated to temperature of 70-80°C; after settling, floating organic phase is removed and aqueous phase is neutralized with lime milk to pH=6-7; after settling of calcium phosphates, electric coagulation is carried out at preliminary acidification of partially cleaned aqueous phase with hydrochloric acid to pH=4-5.
EFFECT: facilitated procedure of decomposition; low cost of process; enhanced ecological safety.
