FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed torque-limiting clutch consists of housing, input and output shafts, one of which is coupled with housing to transmit torque, friction set, pressure and spring-loaded members, cam mechanism, antifriction bearings and control members. To increase accuracy of torque limitation, cam mechanism is made in form of cam plate placed between pressure and spring-loaded members for displacement irrespective of pressure member and coupled with the latter to provide transmission of torque through rolling members, and cams made on shaft noncoupled with housing and engaging with cam plate also through rolling members. So, if torque exceeds tolerable value, interaction of cams at relative turning of output and input shafts and axial displacement of pressure member take place over surfaces equipped with rolling members which increases accuracy of operation of safety clutch. EFFECT: protection of mechanical transmissions from torque exceeding tolerable value. 3 dwg
