FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: disk planetary variator consists of case (1), driving shaft (2) whereon there are attached internal and external central friction disks (5, 6) and friction satellites (8) secured on axes of pivoted levers (11) radially travelling on carrier (13). At least one group of central friction disks is coupled one with another by means of connection allowing axial shift with transfer of torque. Interconnected central friction disks are inserted into iron rings (4) and (7). One end of iron ring (4) or (7) interacts with central friction disk (5) or (6) adjoining this end by means of rolling elements, for example, balls (21) placed into grooves with inclined start and exit, while another central friction disk with its end contacts the adjoining end of the iron ring and is fixed on one side in axial direction, though it can freely turn without transfer of torque. Variator can have one or several rows of friction satellites (8).
EFFECT: increased angles of incline of sections of start and exit for rolling elements, which raises accuracy of central friction disks pressing on friction satellites.
