FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport machine building and can be used as continuously variable transmission for motor cars and other vehicles. Disk planetary variator includes body (1), driving shaft (2) on which internal and external central friction discs (5, 6) and friction satellites (8) fixed on axes of slewing arms (11) with possibility of radial movement on the carrier (13) are mounted. At least one group of central friction disks is interconnected by connection allowing axial movement with torque transmission. Interconnected central friction discs are placed into cartridges (4) and (7). One butt end of cartridge (4) or (7) interacts with adjacent central friction disk (5) or (6) using rolling bodies, for instance balls (21) placed in grooves with inclined entry and exit, and the other central friction disk contacts by its butt end with adjacent butt end of cartridge with one-way fixation in axial direction but with possibility of free rotation without torque transmission. The variator can contain one or more rows of friction satellites (8).
EFFECT: invention permits to increase inclination angles of entering and exiting lengths of rolling bodies which will increase accuracy of central friction discs pressure on friction satellites.
