FIELD: digital processing of signals. SUBSTANCE: invention can find use in solution of problems of information transmission over distances, in tests of serviceability of electrical engineering and electromechanical devices. Given method is based on multiplication of reference and analyzed signals, on summation of obtained values during period of analyzed signal and on computation of constant component of product of reference and analyzed signals on each frequency of reference signal in the course of exhaustive search of phase of reference signal from 0 to 180 degrees. Maximum of constant component of product of signals defines frequency and phase of harmonic component of analyzed signal and helps to compute its amplitude. Reference signal is presented by binary exploring function . EFFECT: diminished time of analysis of spectral composition of complex non-sinusoidal periodic signal. 3 dwg, 2 tbl
