FIELD: digital signal processing. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to solve problems of information transmission over distance, to test serviceability of electric engineering and electromechanical facilities. Method is based on multiplication of analyzed and reference signals. Lattice functions assuming fixed number of values in certain time moments (ωj•tk). in its period are utilized in the capacity of reference signals. Readings corresponding to time moments (ωj•tk) on different frequencies of reference signal ωj. alone are taken from analyzed signal. Values obtained across interval TI of analyzed signal are summed up and momentary spectral density is calculated on each frequency. Thereafter amplitude value and phase angle of each harmonic component are computed. EFFECT: reduced time of analysis of spectral composition of multifrequency periodic signal. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
