FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for harmonic analysis of a periodic multifrequency signal involves an iterative process of determining the necessary form of the weight function. As a result of multiple estimations of the frequency of components of the periodic multifrequency signal, the form of the weight function is selected such that, at the frequency of any of the analysed signal components, spectrum components from other signal components on amplitude are equal to zero, wherein the multiplicity of zero, defined by the derivative order of the spectrum modulus, can be a given degree. Regardless of phase and amplitude relationships between components of the periodic multifrequency signal, mutual interference thereof when estimating parameters in the spectral range is eliminated. The amplitude and phase of each signal component is estimated after determining accurate frequency values.
EFFECT: reduced error when measuring frequency, amplitude and phase of harmonic components of a periodic multifrequency signal.
