OFF-LINE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2229191 C2

FIELD: electrical engineering; power supply systems for space vehicles. SUBSTANCE: off-line power supply system has n energy sources connected to respective regulators, each incorporating control element coupled with energy source; adder connected to control element through control unit of the latter; and load voltage sensor; output of each of them is connected to respective inputs of adders of each regulator. Novelty is introduction of unit for adding energy flow from all regulators that has positive and negative buses, lowpass filter, and protective device; inputs of load voltage sensors are connected through protective device and mentioned buses to low-pass filter and regulator outputs, to respective unlike-polarity buses of energy flow adding unit whose outputs function as terminal leads of off-line power supply system. Proposed system may be also provided with electronic circuit overcurrent and overtime protective unit inserted between one of energy flow adding unit buses and regulator output, input of this unit being connected to output of respective regulator control element; each regulator incorporates provision for output (input) current limiting. Electronic protective unit can be built around MIS transistor. Proposed off-line power supply system is characterized in that it can be easily adapted to varying operating conditions at the same time retaining all its main functions. EFFECT: enhanced load voltage stability and reliability. 2 cl, 1 dwg
