FIELD: mass exchange between a liquid and a gaseous phases. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of mass exchange between a liquid and a gaseous phases, a column with a filler for the method realization and a method of upgrading the column for mass exchange. The method of a mass exchange between a liquid and a gaseous phases in the filler column, that has an outer housing, inside which there are several filled sections located one over another, cross-section of which is less than cross-section of the housing, provides, that a liquid and a gas phases are fed into the column with the filler. The liquid phase passes through some sections mainly in the axial direction, and the gas phase passes through some sections mainly in a radial direction. The liquid phase is collected and distributed between the adjacent sections. Then the liquid and the gas phases are removed from the column with the filler. The invention allows to increase efficiency of the mass exchange at low investments and operational costs.
