FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed lateral stabilizer cutoff device contains torsion bar installed for turning on vehicle body and provided with bent off ends serving as levers, ends being hinge-connected by means of tie-rods with unsprung part of vehicle. Hydraulic cylinder is installed in cut of one of tie-rods. Hydraulic cylinder is made of nonmagnetic material and is filled with ferromagnetic liquid and is arranged inside electromagnet winding which controls cutting off lateral stabilizer. Hydraulic cylinder has housing with cover secured on rod, piston with holes and volume change compensator made of elastic material, filled with gas and arranged under piston. Permanent magnet in form of two half-rings provides movable sealing of rod and cover of hydraulic cylinder. EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability. 3 dwg
