FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method consists in impregnating material with aqueous solution of cationic high-molecular compound, squeezing it and further dyeing and washing it, said cationic high-molecular compound being a compound based on poly-N,N-dimethyl-N-prop-2-enyl-prop-2-en-1-ammonium chloride in amount 1-1.5% on the weight of fibrous material and said squeezing being continued to 70-80% in order to perform dyeing in wet-squeezed state. Additionally, in the last washing bath, material is coated with a preparation based on nonionic high-molecular compound in the form of polyvinylacetate alkali hydrolysis product in amount 2-4% on the weight of material. EFFECT: simplified technology, reduced power consumption, and improved resistance of dye to physicochemical actions (friction). 2 cl, 4 tbl, 4 ex
