FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical technology of textile materials and can be used in dying and finishing cellulose-containing fabrics for imparting high operating properties to them. In the method for dyeing and finishing cellulose-containing textile materials, comprising impregnating material with a dye solution containing an active dye, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and calcined soda, flushing with cold and hot water, repeated washing with hot water, soap, double flushing with hot water, treatment with a solution of acetic acid and final finishing by impregnating with a composition comprising a precondensate of a thermosetting resin based on modified dimethyloldihydroxyethyleneurea, magnesium chloride (hexahydrate), an acrylic emulsion and water, pressing, drying and heat treatment, flushing with hot water is carried out in the presence of urea with concentration of 3–5 g/l, and the final finishing composition is additionally added with oxalic acid, a polymer preparation based on a polydimethyldiallylammonium base of molecular weight of 30,000–40,000 and a silicone-containing softener.

EFFECT: improved operational properties of cellulose-containing textile materials, namely: increased crease-resistance and resistance of colours to washing, sweat and dry friction; reduced shrinkage and loss of tensile strength, as well as higher environmental safety of tissues.
