FIELD: measurement technology, measurement of level of liquid in closed volume. SUBSTANCE: device includes float, flexible cable, indicator, protective tube, hydraulic back-pressure valve, strain-gauge converter, rod. Protective tube has holes in its lower and upper ends. Hydraulic back-pressure valve is placed on upper end of protective tube and has shape of vessel with neck and barrel filled with nonfreezing liquid dielectric. Strain-gauge converter is fixed in vessel of hydraulic back-pressure valve. One end of rod is connected to strain-gauge converter and its other end is linked to barrel of hydraulic backpressure valve. Float is located in protective tube and comes in the form of hollow cylinder which lower end is sealed leak-tight. Indicator comes in the form of microcontroller with input of analog-to-digital converter that is connected to output of strain-gauge converter.
