FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves issuing stimulating acoustic, electric and visual excitations, measuring invoked potentials values of electric dermal response, estimating latent periods and amplitudes of invoked vegetative skin potentials, determining impulse conduction rate via post-ganglionic sympathetic fibers and impulse conduction rate via vegetative spinal cord conductors. The device has PC, gages for measuring electric dermal response, biopotential amplifier, filters, analog multiplexor, analog-to-digital converter, stimulating current source, acoustic signal source, visual signal source and additional temperature, breathing and heart beat rate gages, corresponding amplifiers and filters.
