FIELD: metallurgy and chemical industries; production of vanadium and ferrovanadium compounds. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of processing vanadium-bearing converter slags and is dealt with technology of production of vanadium and ferrovanadium compounds used in iron and steel industry, chemical, paint-and-varnish, textile, glass and other branches of industry, as well as in medicine, photography, aircraft industry, space technology, atomic-power engineering and in agriculture in the capacity of pesticides and microfertilizers. The technical result is - an increase of a degree of extraction of vanadium, improved quality of produced vanadium pentoxide, decrease of consumption of soda, an acid and energy resources. The indicated technical result is achieved due to the fact, that the method of processing of vanadium-bearing converter slags includes an oxidation-natrium calcination of slag with soda, acid leaching, hydrolytic extraction of vanadium compounds. A distinctive feature of the process is that before an acid leaching the slag immediately after calcinations is fed in water. The acid leaching is conducted with adding an acid, and it is conducted at agitation, the formed pulp is filtered off and the formed settlements is washed out with an acid, water and a soda solution. The produced solutions are combined with the solution obtained after leaching. The hydrolytic extraction of vanadium compounds is conducted from the integrated solution. EFFECT: the invention allows to increase a degree of extraction of vanadium, to improved quality of produced vanadium pentoxide, to decrease soda, acid and energy consumption. 1 ex
