FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: thermocompressor is designed for use in chemical industry, for instance, in space vehicles for changing of liquefied into gaseous state, compression and pumping of gases and their mixtures. Proposed thermocompressor consists of three main units: thermocompressor proper, delivery pump and piston engine. Thermocompressor proper is essentially closed cylinder accommodating movable regenerator and containing inlet and outlet valves. One end of cylinder is hot zone, and opposite end is cold zone. Movable regenerator of thermocompressor is connected by rod with engine piston and is set into motion by piston moving alternately from hot into cold zones. Engine contains cylinder, piston, inlet and outlet valves. Piston of engine is connected through rod with regenerator and it sets regenerator into motion. Inlet valve thermocompressor is connected by pipeline through receiver with outlet valves of engine. Delivery pump contains cylinder, piston, inlet and outlet valves. Pump piston is connected through rod with regenerator and it is set into motion, together with regenerator, from engine. Each inlet valve of pump is connected with corresponding channel of thermocompressor cooling jacket. Cooling jacket of thermocompressor is provided with two channels, each being connected by output with inlet valve of one of engine spaces. Outlet valves of piston engine are connected by main line with receiver connected by pipeline with inlet valve of thermocompressor. Invention makes it possible to provide cooling of thermocompressor and removal of heat of engine cycle owing to cold stored in cryogenic liquid and utilize heat of ambient medium.
