FIELD: compression of gases in different branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: invention can used secondary heat sources and ecologically clean heat of sun, thermal waters and other sources as energy source, heat and cold sources. Heat utilization compressor has reversible motor- fan, heat exchanger-cooler, regenerator, heat exchanger-heater and reservoir, all connected in tandem by means of pipelines. Intake and outlet self-operating return (cutoff) valves are connected to pipeline between heat exchanger-cooler and reversible motor-fan. In multiple stage version of device, heat exchangers-coolers and heat exchangers-heaters are assembled into banks, and reservoirs are arranged coaxially with individual inlets and outlets and interstage cutoff valves are installed between stages. All pipelines and internal surfaces of reservoirs are coated with thin layer of heat insulation. To provide self-contained operation of device, its motor- fans are provided with independent control system. The system and motor-fans are supplied with current by thermoelectric generator which has thermal contact with heat exchanger-heater and heat exchanger-cooler. EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability, increased life, cut down expenses. 6 cl, 4 dwg
