FIELD: determination of parameters of surface layer during dynamic contact with solid substance. SUBSTANCE: technique measures parameters of boundary layers of tires contacting pavement. Technique establishing parameters of boundary layers of polymer materials includes mechanical action with solid body on specimen and determination of parameters of specimen. Examined specimen is exposed to simultaneous action of longitudinal vibrations and lateral mechanical load, resonance curves are found and their broadening with formation of actual and molecular contacts, which are measured by means of frequency meter. Complex for implementation of technique has lower and upper members anchored in housing and connected to system setting and recording mechanical loads and system recording parameters. Complex is supplemented with system processing parameters. Tested specimen is fixed on upper member mounted in housing for vertical movement. System setting mechanical loads comes in the form of mechanism of longitudinal vibrations linked to lower member and mechanism of lateral load linked to upper member.
