FIELD: power engineering; redesigning lines of various voltage classes to meet standard specifications in force. SUBSTANCE: proposed anchor span of overhead power transmission line redesigned to meet relevant standard specification in force with respect to wire distance to ground and/or to crossing objects has two anchor poles with line insulation components and wire secured on them in dead-end clamps. Wire has at least one locally sagging section between two additional dead-end clamps installed on wire and coupled by means of definite-length stay wire. When angle suspension supporting structures are installed in anchor span, locally sagging sections are provided on wire at both ends of these angle suspension structures. Method for redesigning anchor span includes delivery and installation of ground-insulated spider deck for pre-selected local wire section, installation of pair of dead-end clamps at its ends, and installation of bracing mechanisms on them. Dead-end clamps are brought together by means of bracing mechanisms and then tied by means of definite-length stay wire. After that bracing mechanism is dismounted and spider deck is removed from wire. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption, enhanced reliability of redesigned line. 3 cl, 3 dwg
