METHOD FOR PROCESSING ALGAE FOR PREPARING PRODUCT "LAMIFAREN" Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: biotechnology, medicine, cosmetology, food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing algae and can be used as a curative-prophylactic agent and source of macronutrient/trace elements and sorbent. Method for processing algae for preparing the product "Lamifaren" involves preparing algae, their treatment and milling in acid medium at pH 6 in the ratio algae mass and solution = 1:1.5 and exposition for 5-6 h. Then algae mass is washed out by 4-fold infusing in fresh water at temperature 20 C for 10-30 min in the ratio of algae mass and water = 1:3 followed by draining water. Then mixture is treated with spent steam at water temperature 40-60 C in the ratio of algae mass and water = 1:1 for 16-24 h at continuous stirring. Then the prepared algae mass is homogenized up to preparing small-dispersed gel-like mass. Invention provides preparing product with maximal content of free alginate as calcium and sodium salts and macronutrient/trace elements in maximally available for body bioorganic form.
