FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining a gel from Laminaria with hawthorn extract includes preparing raw material, grinding, demineralization, washing, draining, heat treatment, homogenization and packing. At the same time, before the heat treatment, carbonic acid potassium is introduced into the crushed and demineralized raw material at the rate of 16% to the initial mass of dry algae, and poured with water at the temperature of 80-90°C at the equal ratio. Thereinafter the algal mass is mixed, maintained at a temperature of 60-65°C and the pH of 8.5-9.0 for 2-6 hours, with introducing 28.6% of the initial dry algae weight of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate (MgSO4×7 (H2O)) dissolved in water 1 hour after the start of heat treatment. In the process of homogenization, 10% aqueous hawthorn extract is introduced in an amount of 31.6% of the gel weight. Before packing, the gel is pasteurized for 30 minutes at the temperature of 75-80°C with continuous stirring.

EFFECT: invention allows to obtain a finished product with the content of organically bound microelements of magnesium, potassium, iodine, and biologically active substances of hawthorn extract in the form most accessible to the body.
