FIELD: production of a filter used in alcoholic beverage industry and for tertiary treatment of drinking water.

SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a filter intended for treatment and sorting by activated carbon and for use in alcoholic beverage industry as well as for a tertiary treatment of potable water and for trapping of organic impurities of sewage. The offered filter for treatment and sorting by the activated carbon contains: a housing a bottom; a cover; inlet and outlet branch-pipes with a ratio of their diameter and the housing equal to (10-14 : 1); the filtering elements made out of activated carbon with ash content of 2-6 % and ratio of volumes of micropores to the total volume of the pores equal to 0.4-0.7; limiters inside the housing in the form of the trapezoidal plates and the sorbing block elements located in places of a docking. The outlet branch-pipe is implanted inside the housing at 0.75-0.95 of its height. The offered filter with activated carbon allows to increase efficiency of purification and sorting and to reduce considerably the losses at cleaning of filtering sorbing elements.
