FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to production of carbon adsorbent designed for application in medical practice as enterosorbents. The carbon adsorbent is characterised by relation of total volumes of meso- and macropores to volume of micropores equal to 1.2-1.4, mineral impurity content 1-2%, PH of aqueous extract 5.5-8.0, and mechanical strength 89-97%. The method for making the carbon adsorbents includes carbonisation of stone raw materials within temperature range 250-750°C followed by isothermal conditioning at 750°C during 20-30 minutes, activation, magnetic separation, direct steam processing at 200-250°C and coal to steam ratio 1:7-10, washing and drying. An installation for making the carbon adsorbents comprises a reactor-carbonator presenting a horizontal retort with diametre to length ratio 1:18-20, with a carbonisate load and unload facility, a reactor-activator presenting a cylindrical drum with an electric heating unit, a direct steam processing reactor presenting a chamber provided with a perforated bottom with a screen gap, and mounted at the angle 18-30°, and supplied with a system of direct steam feeding into the screen gap, a magnetic separator, a washing device, a drying cylinder, and a light-end reaction product discharger.

EFFECT: invention allows making high-effective carbon enterosorbent.
