TRAILER-TRAIN Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; railless vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: proposed trailer-train contains truck-tractor with fifth wheel coupler gear and semitrailer with body, support screw posts and frame. Frame is furnished in its front part with support sheet and rigidly connected kingpin. Kingpin is turnable relative to vertical longitudinal axis of symmetry and is coupled at one side with sprocket engaging through hinge chain with two sprockets rigidly secured on screws of support posts and is provided at other with teeth in contact with toothed bushing furnished with control mechanism and connected with rotary drive.

EFFECT: reduced labor input when mounting semitrailer in inoperative position, improved safety at servicing.
