FIELD: sealing materials.

SUBSTANCE: method of at least locally supplying organic layer-coated object with layer of easily deformable sealing material, called "compound", wherein semifinished layer of compound is applied onto organic coating layer, after which object is aged for some time at elevated temperature in order to convert semifinished product into compound, said organic coating layer on the object including polyethylene terephthalate and compound being selected from group of known compounds including urethanes, amides, their mixtures, and heteropolymers, whereas free surface of the coating layer, prior to be covered with semifinished compound layer, is subjected to brief treatment, at least on areas designed to be covered. Above treatment may be selected from treatment operations including flame treatment, during which coating layer does not melt.

EFFECT: simplified sealing procedure.
