FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; out-of-furnace metallothermy.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with ferrous industry, more particular, with out-of-furnace treatment of converter and open-hearth steel in a ladle. Technical result - improvement of a steel quality and decreased consumption of manganese. The method provides for smelting a steel, its tapping into a ladle with following correction of the smelt chemical composition by introduction of dopant materials containing silicon, manganese, chromium, a bottom blowing off the metal in the ladle with a noble gas. In the capacity of a dopant material they use a steel breakage in a lumps mass of 2-15 kg, containing: (in mass %): silicon - 0.3 - 1.5, manganese - 9.0-20.5, chromium - 0.2-1.0, iron and impurities - the rest with total mass of 1.5 - 4.0 % of the mass of the smelted steel. Feeding of the steel breakage is made in three equal portions in accordance with the liquid metal tapping into the ladle - 1/3, 2/3 and all smelted steel. It is desirable to sustain the tap temperature in the ladle in limits of 1650-1670°С, and blowing off of the metal in the ladle to conduct with a specific consumption of noble gas of 0.016 - 0.056 m3 / h-t. In the capacity of noble gas it is possible to use argon.
EFFECT: the invention allows to improve a steel quality and to decrease consumption of manganese.
