FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: semi-finished product is molten in steel-making unit, molten metal is poured to ladle, and alloying materials and reducing agent - silicone carbide and/or calcium carbide is supplied. Then, molten metal is heated in ladle and final correction is performed as per chemical composition with simultaneous gas blowing of molten metal; oxygen activity and aluminium content in molten metal is measured. As modifying agent there added are calcium-containing materials in the quantity in terms of pure calcium. Then, vacuum treatment of molten metal is carried out in ladle at residual pressure of not more than 0.5 mm Hg with inert gas blowing.

EFFECT: invention allows reducing the content of gases, non-metallic inclusions in steel and reducing their dimensions with simultaneous modification in order to provide stable process of continuous metal pouring on continuous casting plant to workpiece of small section.
