FIELD: locksmith's work.

SUBSTANCE: the assembly has a lock with a plate reversing mechanism and a key, it includes a lock body and a latch moving forward and back in it by the key, provided with a locking pin, and a group of reversing plates moved by the key, that are provided with a locking passage, engageable with the mentioned locking pin for control of the movement of the latch and having at least the first and second branches transversal relative to the latch motion, and the third branch connecting them. The bit of the key has a combination surface for each reversing plate, which, when the key is turned in the lock, moves the reversing plate in the direction of the first and second branches for selection of the locking combination. The bit of the key has a guide member, which acts on the latch so that at the final stage of the selected movement of the reversing plate for the same time it directs the locking pin to the third branch of the locking passage, the third branch of the locking passage has at least one guide facility, which is positioned so as to prevent motion of the locking pin through the third passage, if the combination surface of the key is incorrect.

EFFECT: enhanced resistance to breaking-in.
