FIELD: armament, in particular, tests for checking the functioning of warheads of guided missiles and rockets with proximity fuses.

SUBSTANCE: the method consists in formation of the lay-out of targets, projectile launch, recording of the projectile flight with simultaneous determination of the warhead destructive action on the target with formation of a destruction crater on the target surface. The lay-out of targets is formed by installation of a plate-reference spot in parallel with the direction of motion of the projectile, and a non-pierceable obstacle is placed between the plate-reference spot and the target, the dimensions of the plate-reference spot and the non-pierceable obstacle, as well as the distances between them, are selected with due account made for the target dimensions and position of the shading boundary of the plate-reference spot of the non-pierceable obstacle against the flow of fragments produced at blasting of the projectile warhead, the fuse range is determined by the length of the section of the straight line passing in the direction of the maximum of the sensitivity pattern of the proximity fuse from the center of the destruction crater and limited on the one side by its center, and on the other side-by the plane passing through the upper face of the non-pierceable obstacle and the hole nearest to the shading boundary pierced by a fragment in the plate-reference spot.

EFFECT: provided flight tests of a guided missile furnished with a standard warhead.
