FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: one should evaluate the degree of lipid accumulation in leukocytes of patient's peripheral blood. For this purpose it is necessary to calculate average cytochemical coefficient and at its value being 2.6 conventional units, or lower one should determine the presence of active leprous process. The method suggested is very simple, requires no expensive technical provision and could be carried out both in laboratory and under field conditions by providing reliable evaluation for leprous process activity.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of detection.
