Abstract RU 2231089 C1

FIELD: geophysical studies, delimitation of oil and gas fields.

SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic field is excited in thickness of examined medium by passage through it of periodic train of rectangular pulses and pauses between them. Momentary values of second axial, second orthogonal and third axial potential differences are measured at end of each current pulse and between current pulses, in pauses over entire extent. Momentary values of second and third potential differences placed close in time are exposed in entire extent of each pause with determination of difference between their values. Three or four sets of normalized electrical parameters are computed from values of all enumerated differences. Usage of these parameters helps to solve inverse problem on basis of differential, wave equation of mathematic physics for intensity of dipole source in conducting medium polarized electrochemically. Model of medium, nearest to examined by geometrical structure and electrical parameters is found. Time sections of this model are constructed by electrophysical parameters, such as conductivity of elements of medium, coefficient of their induced polarization and time constant of fall of potential of induced polarization included in given equation.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of geoelectrical prospecting.
