Abstract RU 2219568 C1

FIELD: geophysical examinations, search for and delineation of oil and gas deposits. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic field is excited in the thick of examined medium by passage of periodic sequence of rectangular current pulses through it with pauses between pulses. Momentary value of first difference of electric potentials is measured at end of each current pulse. Momentary values of second difference of electric potential are also measured all the way between current pulses during pauses in addition to momentary values of first difference of potentials. Two momentary values of first and second differences of potentials positioned closely are isolated all the way during each pause with establishment of difference in their values. Four rated electric parameters are computed from values of all enumerated differences and model of medium nearest by its geological structure and electrical parameters to examined medium is found by solving inverse problem on basis of differential subsiding wave equation of mathematical physics for intensity of dipole source in conductive medium polarizing electrochemically. Time sections of this model are constructed by electrophysical parameters included in given equation such as conduction of elements of medium, coefficient of induced polarization and time constant of fall of potential difference caused by polarization.
